Dear Gent,

The Fund for the Relief of Distress in China.

With further reference to the above Fund and in order that your records may be complete, I am now send ing you the following:

1. The Minutes of the Fourth and Fifth Meetings of the

Executive Committee.

2. In relation to the Minutes of the Fifth Meeting and the transfer of the Honorary Secretary ship to Dr.Gordon Thompson of the Lester Institute, copies of two letters from myself to Lord Donoughmore, one stating the views of the Lord Mayor upon the decisions reached by the Executive Committee at its Fourth Meeting and one tendering my resignation of the Hon. Secretaryship.

3. Copies of letters to Mr. R.G.Howe of November 11th and

16th, the former being in substance the same as the one sent to Mr. Calder-Marshall on November 8th, a copy of which has already been sent to you.

Copies of my letters of November 11th and 16th to Mr. Howe have also been sent to Sir Geoffry Northcote while copies of all the above have been sent to Orde at the Foreign Office.
